VA Golf 5/21 +5

Today was my 39th round of the year. It was warm (70) and overcast from the storm over night. The course was wet, when I teed off at 7:00 am. I hit an 8 iron on #1, and purposely aimed right of the green but still almost put it on the sand. It was long, and next to the sand. I chipped to the fringe and then made an 18′ putt for par. On #2, I hit a great drive right down the middle and then chunked my approach wedge, my lob wedge then came up just short of the green. I putted from the off the green 39′ away and ended up with a tap in for bogey. On #3, I hit a fantastic 8 iron the was 8′ from the pin, (picture attached), and then missed the putt by hitting it too hard, leaving a tap in for par. On #4, I hit a good drive that was in the left of the fairway, I followed that with a great 3 wood and a lob wedge that left a 15′ putt for birdie, I missed the birdie and made the par. On #5, I hit a decent drive down the left side and found the green with a lob wedge. I missed the 25′ putt for birdie but made the par. On #6, I hit a horrible drive, barely clearing the hill. I attempted to hit a 6 iron the long grass and it only went about 30 yards. I hit another 6 iron into the fairway, followed by a lob wedge on the green. I missed the 16′ putt for bogey and took a double bogey. On #7, I hit a bad 7 iron that was short right, followed by a decent chip to the fringe. My putt from the fringe of 35′ was long and I made the bogey. On #8, I hit a decide drive but pulled it right of the green, My lob wedge cleared the green, I had a decent chip to get back on the green, but missed the par and made a bogey. On #9 my 6 iron was short, and then I chipped to 3′ and made the putt for par.

5 pars, 3 bogeys, and 1 double.
