VA Golf 11/26 +4

Today was my 117th round of the year and surpassed my record of rounds from last year. It was a cold morning and once again there was a frost delay of about 20 minutes. The high was expected to be in the 60’s but it was just a cold clear over night. Although the 1st green was clear of frost the tee box on #1 was not. I hit a decent shot pin high with an 8 iron, but it was right of the green by 15 yards. I hit a chip shot onto the green and it was 10 feet from the hole. I hit a great putt that actually went in, but since I play at such a cheap golf course, the cup was not cut properly, the cup itself, was exposed inside the hole and the ball bounced back out when it hit the exposed cup, ending up with a bogey. I hit a bad drive on #2, that was in the left rough, leaving me about 160 to the green. I hit a fantastic 6 iron to within 3′ and made the putt for birdie. On #3, I hit a 5 wood to the down hill 190 yard par 3, my shot was short left. I hit a decent chip, that was just short of the green. I putted from off the green from 35′ and my putt rolled past by 4′. I made the putt coming back for a bogey. I hit a bad drive on #4 in the right rough in the trees. I had a restricted back swing but managed to hit a 3 wood into the center of the fairway 115 yards from the green. I hit a solid pitching wedge that was 3 yards short and ended up in the sand. I hit a horrible shot out of the sand and long left of the green. My chip onto the green was past the hole and then I missed the putt and tapped in for a double bogey. On #5, I hit a good drive right down the middle, followed by a half approach wedge, that hit the green and skipped over. I was able to two putt from off the green for par. I hit a good drive down the middle on #6 followed by a pitching wedge to 9′. I missed the putt for birdie and tapped in for par. I hit a decent drive but pulled it right on the 255 par 4, 7th. My chip shot hit the green and rolled over. I was able to two putt from off the green for a par. I hit a great drive on #8, leaving myself 40 yards from the green. I chili dipped my wedge coming up short of the green. I then chipped again that caught the green and rolled back off. I then two putted for bogey. I hit a great 6 iron on #9, that hit the green and kicked left. I then chipped onto the green, leaving a 10′ putt for par that I made.

1 birdie
4 pars
3 bogeys
1 double bogey
